RoRo/RoPAX EEDI Industry Forum – REIF

Purpose: to develop regulatory framework(s) for RoRo Cargo and RoRo Passenger ships under the auspices of the International Maritime Organization.

Method: provide a platform for individual proposals on how to device energy efficiency index for RoRo/RoPAX, without prejudice to other ship types.

Timeline: Collect and disseminate proposals prior to MEPC63. Agree, if possible, on proposal(s) to bring forward by means of submission to MEPC64/65.

Next meeting: Sunday 26 Feb 2012 at 1.30 p.m. at the IMO, London.
