Colleagues, Friends and Industry Partners, Hola! It is my pleasure to invite you to attend the 36th Annual Interferry Conference scheduled for Barcelona from 3-6 October 2011. Each year the conference provides a unique opportunity to explore new ideas, markets, strategies and technologies in ferry regions around the world. This year we are also giving special focus to economic and regulatory challenges. It is a great honour for me personally to be elected President of Interferry. Following in the footsteps of the very successful conference in New York, Barcelona will certainly not disappoint. It has experienced the greatest growth of all Europe's cities over the past ten years and is the only city in the world with nine World Heritage Sites. Apart from a wealth of architecture, Barcelona has excellent transport links, a vast range of cultural events and incredible gastronomy – it was selected as Gourmand city in 2002. |
