SPOUSES and PARTNERS PROGRAM
Market Day - October 6
Duration: 6.5 hours
Start: 9:00am
Finish: 3:30pm
Markets embody some of the best of Hong Kong: shopping, bargains, local colour and buzz. Today you will travel to the Flower Market, the Jade Market and the Ladies Market.
The morning starts with a quick stroll down Hong Kong's Flower Market road to admire the buckets full of flowers cascading out on to the street. This is a truly magical experience. Next, while enroute to the Jade Market via coach you will have a quick tour of Kowloon.
The Jade Market is a mecca for collectors from all over the world. Stallholders display everything from rare and valuable to small and inexpensive. You can bargain for jade, semi precious stones, pearls, glass beads, coins and inexpensive trinkets.

There will be a stop at a restaurant for lunch that is famous for its Beijing cuisine.

Ladies' Market, on Tung Choi Street, is where local and tourist shoppers find bargain-priced clothing, bags and accessories for women, men and children – plus a whole lot more. Theme streets for electronic and sporting goods shops are on either side of the Ladies Street Market. The bus will take you back to the hotel.
While this outing will offer guides to provide an overview of the markets, you will also have free time for shopping.
Cultural Day - October 7
Duration: 7 hours
Start: 8:30am
Finish: 3:30pm
Start the day with a lesson in the ancient art of Tai Chi or you can just watch the others practice their smooth moves.

A coffee break after all that hard work and then it is off to Wong Tai Sin, Hong Kong's most popular Taoist temple which attracts worshippers of all three traditional Chinese religions: Taoism, Buddhism, and Confucianism. The temple also attracts those seeking information about their fortunes -- from advice about business or horse racing to determining which day is most auspicious for a wedding.
For lunch you will go to Nan Lian Gardens - to enjoy a peaceful respite from the hustle and bustle of Hong Kong. These gardens are a showcase of traditional Chinese culture, reminiscent of the ancient architecture of the Tang Dynasty.

After lunch you will continue walking through the gardens over to the Chi Lin Buddhist nunnery. The nunnery was originally built in 1934 using only wooden dowels and brackets. Feng Shui principles governed its construction.
