A visit to Istanbul is not complete without riding on ferries. Sailing on the Bosphorus provides a unique view of the surrounding city and a close-up look at one of the busiest waterways in the world.

The Interferry conference host, IDO (Istanbul Deniz Otobüsleri - Istanbul Seabuses and Fast Ferries Inc.) is the largest operator in the world of multi-purpose ferries. It operates 86 vessels and 86 terminals carrying more than 90 million passengers and 5 million vehicles annually. And what a fleet it is: 10 fast car ferries, 19 conventional car ferries, 25 seabuses (fast, passenger-only catamarans) and 32 conventional passenger-only ferries.

The Interferry Professional Tour, a new conference feature in 2009, gives you the opportunity to see this operation from the perspective of both the passenger and the operator. You will ride on each class of ferry to a number of terminals. You will visit IDO’s head office located at their main terminal where a presentation of their operations will be provided. Lunch is also included. There is no additional cost for the Professional Tour thanks to the generous sponsorship of IDO.
