On Wednesday afternoon, October 9, after the Technical Tour, we will take a 45 minute drive to the ferry port at Cirkewwa and then a ferry trip past the Island of Comino to the main harbour of Mgarr on Gozo. It's difficult to describe Gozo: the dramatic coastlines, fascinating beaches, sleepy villages nestling on hill tops, and winding bumpy lanes that lead to nowhere. Gozo is the sister island of Malta but it is altogether different. It is only a 25 minute ferry ride away, but once there you really could be in another world.

The island is steeped with history, ranging from the world's oldest free standing structures at Ggantija, through the Knights of Malta and beyond. Known for its world-class diving, the Mediterranean Sea around Gozo is at its richest with abundant marine life, dramatic underwater scenery, caves, reefs, wrecks, drop-offs and visibility often in excess of 40 metres.

You will stay 3 nights at Hotel Ta' Cenc & Spa. Surrounded by 160 hectares of natural landscape and overlooking majestic cliffs with a magnificent view across to the islands of Malta and Comino, Hotel Ta' Cenc is known as "the island within an island". Accommodation in this 83 room hotel consists of charming little stone bungalows, or "trullos", with modern facilities. Along with its two tennis courts and three swimming pools, the hotel also offers its own private rocky beach known as "Kantra", located in the rocky fjord inlet in the hotel grounds. Kantra, renowned for its dramatic beauty and its limpid clear sea, provides a bar and grill restaurant, sunbeds, umbrellas, as well as shower and toilet facilities.

With mostly sunny weather, expansive beaches, a thriving nightlife and 7,000 years of history, there is a great deal to see and do. Therefore, we will leave it up to you to plan your days. Gozo's small size is an advantage as most sites and activities are relatively close by.

Not sure what you want to do? See the list to your right or just wait until you arrive and the hotel will be happy to assist you with your activities.

Each evening, the Interferry group will get back together for cocktails and dinner. This is a great time to network, get to know your fellow Interferry members and share the stories from your day's adventures.

Wednesday night's dinner will be at Hotel Ta' Cenc's Il Carrubo restaurant which features Italian and local cuisine.

Thursday night's dinner will be seaside at Rew Rew. We have no idea what will be on the menu except that it will be fresh seafood that has been caught that morning. We have it on good authority that, while very rustic, Rew Rew will be an experience you won't soon forget.

Friday night's dinner will be held in an impressive 17th-century Palazzo Palina, situated on the hotel grounds.
