Discover Macau
Macau is the oldest European settlement in Asia, and Portugal’s last colony. The historic centre of Macau was listed as China’s 31st UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is the Las Vegas / Monte Carlo of the Far East offering a fantastic blend of colonial architecture, excellent restaurants and naturally, a phenomenal variety of casinos. Participants will have a choice of a two or three night stay.
Tour Highlights:
Participants will receive complimentary travel to Macau on a hydrofoil fast ferry on the afternoon of October 8th, courtesy of TurboJet. (An afternoon departure will allow you to do some last minute shopping in Hong Kong). You will stay at the brand new six star hotel, MGM Grand which features casinos, numerous themed restaurants and lounges (including two champagne bars) and a world renowned Six Senses Spa.

Wednesday evening will consist of cocktails, dinner, followed by fun casino lessons provided by your hosts, TurboJet, in case you need to learn new Chinese table games.
Thursday’s tour will be a glimpse of historical Macau. This will be a driving tour in the morning, with a stop at Macau Tower, the world’s 10th tallest freestanding building. For those looking for something to do during free time, the tower offers a variety of thrills, including the mast climb, the Sky Walk and bungee/sky jumping. Lunch will be held in the revolving restaurant on top of the tower. The afternoon consists of a historic walking tour past some of the highlights of Macau, such as Largo do Senado Square, the Fortalezza do Monte and the Ruinas de Sao Paolo. You are free to continue your exploration or take a short walk back to your hotel. Tonight dinner is on your own. There are many different cuisines to try and let’s not forget the Portuguese wines!
Friday morning is your own time. Shopping, more site-seeing, gambling, or taking in a spa, the choice is yours. The afternoon starts with a coach ride to a Macanese restaurant in old Taipai village for lunch. Afterwards there will be a guided walk through the village to see traditional Portuguese and Chinese architecture. You will continue on the bus, travelling to Coloane which is an old fishing village. Next stop is the Venetian Hotel, the world’s largest casino. Now for some different excitement – it is off to the Macau Jockey Club for cocktails, dinner and horse racing.

Friday and Saturday departures courtesy TurboJet Ferry will be arranged either back to Hong Kong or directly to Hong Kong airport.
